Policies

The fine print, kindly put.

Everything you need to know about booking, changes, safety and how we look after your information.

Bookings & payment

  • Sending a booking request or proposal request does not confirm your date. Your booking is confirmed once we have agreed the details with you, sent an invoice and received your deposit.
  • A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the quoted total (minimum £50) is due within 3 days of your invoice to secure the date. If it is not received, the date may be released.
  • The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before your event. Bookings made within 7 days of the event are payable in full at the time of booking.
  • Payment is by bank transfer using the details on your invoice. No payment is taken on this website.
  • All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Prices shown on the website are starting prices; your confirmed invoice is the final price. Quotes are valid for 14 days.

Guest numbers

  • Our per-guest experiences have a minimum of 6 guests; parties with fewer guests are charged at the minimum.
  • Please confirm your final guest numbers at least 7 days before the event. Extra guests can usually be added up to 48 hours before, subject to availability, and will be invoiced.
  • Reductions in guest numbers made after the 7-day deadline cannot be refunded.
  • For more than 30 guests, please request a proposal so we can arrange additional team members.

Cancellations & date changes

  • If you cancel more than 14 days before your event, you lose your deposit only and any balance already paid is refunded.
  • If you cancel between 7 and 14 days before your event, 50% of the total booking value is payable.
  • If you cancel less than 7 days before your event, the full booking value is payable.
  • You may move your booking to a new date once, free of charge, with at least 7 days’ notice, subject to availability. Your deposit transfers to the new date, which must be within 6 months of the original.
  • If we ever have to cancel - for example due to illness or an emergency - we will offer a new date or a full refund of everything you have paid. We are not responsible for any other costs you may have incurred.

On the day

  • We arrive around 30 minutes before your start time to set up, and need a further 30 minutes after the party to pack away.
  • Please provide a clear, clean space for our stations (usually a room or covered area with space for chairs and one or two tables), access to a power socket, and nearby access to running water.
  • Your party runs for the booked time from the agreed start. If the start is delayed for reasons outside our control, we may not be able to extend the finish time. Extra time can be added on the day where our schedule allows, charged in 30-minute blocks.
  • Our standard service area is within 25 miles of London. Travel beyond this may carry a travel fee, which we will quote in advance.
  • Please let us know about parking in advance. Any parking charges, Congestion Charge or ULEZ costs incurred to reach your venue will be added to your invoice.
  • If your event is at a hired venue, please make sure the venue allows our services and confirm any access times or restrictions with us beforehand.

Health, safety & allergies

  • Our treatments use natural, food-grade ingredients and non-toxic, water-based polish - but natural ingredients can still cause reactions. Please tell us about every guest’s allergies, sensitivities and relevant skin or medical conditions when you book, and again when confirming numbers.
  • We can provide a full ingredient list before your party and can adapt or skip any product. A patch test can be arranged on request before the event.
  • We may decline or stop a treatment for any guest if we believe it is unsafe - for example broken skin, rashes, infections, nail conditions or a reaction during treatment. Payment for that guest remains due.
  • Our parties are suitable for guests aged 5 and over.
  • For guests under 18, a parent or guardian must remain on site for the whole event and is responsible for the children at all times. We may ask a parent or guardian to complete a short consent form for each child before treatment.
  • Our team sanitises all tools between guests and uses single-use files and applicators where appropriate.

Photos & social media

  • We love to share our parties, but we will only post photos or videos that show guests with your permission - and only show children with the written consent of their parent or guardian.
  • If you would prefer that we do not take any photos at your event, just tell us when you book.

Property & damage

  • We use protective covers on tables and floors and take great care in your home or venue. Please let us know of any surfaces or furnishings that need extra protection.
  • We are not responsible for damage caused by guests, or by spills that occur when guests move away from our stations. The host is responsible for any damage to our equipment caused by guests, beyond normal wear and tear.

Our responsibility to you

  • We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. If something is not right, we will do our best to put it right.
  • Our total liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the price you paid for that booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  • We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, transport disruption or illness; in those cases we will offer a new date or a refund.

Feedback & complaints

  • If anything is not as it should be, please tell us on the day so we can help, or contact us within 48 hours of your event using the form on our Contact page or by calling +44 7472 999 700.
  • We will acknowledge your message within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 10 working days.

Privacy

  • House of Muna is responsible for the personal information you share with us through this website, by email, phone or social media.
  • We collect only what we need to plan and deliver your event: your name and contact details, event details (date, address, guest numbers), and guest information such as ages, allergies and health notes you choose to give us. Allergy and health information is used only to keep guests safe.
  • We use this information to respond to enquiries, plan and deliver your booking, send invoices and keep accounting records. Our lawful bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running the business, legal obligations (such as tax records) and, for photos of guests, consent.
  • We use trusted services to run the website and bookings: Web3Forms (delivering form messages), Vercel (website hosting and anonymous visitor statistics), Cal.com (online booking, where used) and Google Maps (the map on our Contact page). We never sell your information.
  • We keep enquiries that do not lead to a booking for up to 12 months, guest health and allergy notes for up to 12 months after your event, and booking and invoice records for 6 years for tax purposes.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it, by contacting us through our Contact page or by calling +44 7472 999 700. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
  • This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Visitor statistics are collected anonymously.
